A shocker in Athens: Ga Tech beats UGA 30-24 in OT. GA Tech has shook up the CFB world with a big road win against their arch rivals. The Jackets intercept a Hudson Mason pass in the end zone to win the 2nd consecutive OT game played between the two teams. It is GA Tech not Georgia who will go on to play for their their Conference championship. A win against FSU in that game definitely puts them in the hunt for a CFB Playoff bid. Who would have thought it would be the Yellow Jackets that would have the best chance to compete for the national title in 2014.
Now the stubborn patience of Tech coach Paul Johnson has paid off. At the helm of a team that drew less than a 1000 people to it’s kickoff scrimmage, he now has his team running like the tech school they represent. Just like an engineering marvel.
