GA Tech is on the road to battle the Fighting Irish in South Bend. Notre Dame comes off a dramatic last second win vs Virginia. Tech has scored 65+ points against inferior competition. With Maurice Zaire the Irish starting QB his replacement Deshone Kizer must find a way to match the high powered Tech offense. The Yellow Jackets will present challenges on both sides of the ball.
Justin Thomas whose deft handling of Paul Johnson’s spread option has him on the short list of Heisman trophy favorites. GT now adds an opportunistic defense led by DT Aussie Adam Gostis.
If GA Tech wins this one they will be catapulted into the the Top 10, probably even ahead of rival Georgia. The fact that the win would come on the hallowed grounds in South Bend would be a huge boost in recruiting wars that the Bulldogs normally dominate. The road to the CFB playoffs may run through the ‘Flats’ in Atlanta at Bobby Dodd Stadium.
