The #ATLHawks get a much needed win over #Knicks 102-98 in OT. It was a physical game that both teams went after each from the start. The chippy play caused an early ejection of the Knicks Carmelo Anthony. ‘Melo was tossed after an elbow/chop to the neck of Hawks SF Thabo Sefolosha late in the 1st quarter. He already had 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists when he left the game.
The Knicks turned to Derrick Rose and Kristaps Porzingas who scored 26 and 24 respectively. Rose dished out 6 assists and Porzingas had 8 rebounds.
The Hawks were led by mercurial G Denis Schroder who led all scorers with 27 points, and Dwight Howard who had 16 points and 22 rebounds. The Hawks are back to .500 at 16-16 and just 2 games out of 4th place in the Eastern conference.
Their next game is Dec. 30th vs Detroit at home. Place should be rocking because it includes a concert by ATL based rapper 2 Chainz
