
John Collins 3rd Qtr Dunks Ignites Crowd and help spur Atlanta comeback win

After falling behind by as many as 18 points in the first half vs the Philadelphia 76ers the Atlanta Hawks looked like a team on the brink of having it’s playoff run ednded.
But a stifling defense and relentless work on the glass let the Hawks hold the Sixers to just 38 points in the second half. That helped the Hawks shock the world with a hard fought 103-100 win. Atlanta’s Trae Young led all scorers with 25 and just as important doled out 18 assists.
Although Young numbers were impressive, it was John Collins provided the spark and fire needed to get past Philly.
Collins had 3 monstrous dunks in the 3rd quarter a big 3 point bucket in the 4th got the crowd on their feet and his teammates ready to take the lead and hold on for the win.
Hawks coach Nate McMillan’s strategy of going with a big lineup featuring Collins at small forward gave Collins the room and opportunity to make a huge impact on the game.
They also got plenty of help from sold out Atlanta crowd. State Farm Arena was rocking.
